New Brunswick Immigration Entrepreneur Category

Eligibility

Entrepreneurs with an approved business plan by New Brunswick official could apply for Canadian Permanent Resident visa under New Brunswick Business Provincial Nominee Program. Applicants must demonstrate his/her business experience of operating/managing a successful business. Applicants need to make at least one exploratory visit to New Brunswick and meet with provincial officials. Applicants must have sufficient funds for the business. In addition, applicants must score a minimum of 50 points for the points system set by New Brunswick PNP. The points are based on your age, education, work experience, language ability, and adaptability and greater consideration will be given to applicants with business plans that create employment for people other than the applicant's family members in New Brunswick.

The ability to speak English and/or French is critical to your success as an entrepreneur in New Brunswick. You are expected to have a basic knowledge of English and/or French and be able to understand and answer the questions during the interview with New Brunswick officials. If they are not satisfied that you have sufficient knowledge of the language to carry on a business in New Brunswick, you will be required to take intensive language training and to participate in a second interview prior to nomination.

As an applicant to the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program, you must make a commitment to settle permanently in New Brunswick and are required to sign a declaration stating your intention to live and work in this province. Provincial Nominees who pass the medical and security requirements at the federal government level are likely to see their application for immigration to Canada processed expeditiously.
